It was a celebration of 50 years of Hip Hop at Red Rocks Amphitheater on Sunday night as DJs, MCs and fans all made the journey to Morrison, CO. Breakbeat Lou kicked off the how with spinning classics from the past, each cut sparking a reaction in different parts of the crowd, and some just resonated with every single person. DJ Fresh brought out The Grouch & Eligh, followed by Mr Dibbs and then Souls of Mischief. Danny Brown was all business with his set, getting pretty deep into his list before chatting the crowd up a bit. Atmosphere closed the night out with a few new songs, and many classic tracks. Moving to the Denver area from Minneapolis around five years ago, it was cathartic to see these guys again.
